Miss Universe SWEDEN 2016 is IDA OVMAR

Miss Universe Sweden 2016 is Ida Ovmar! She was crowned on August 28, 2016 in the capital city Stockholm. Ida Ovmar now carry the great responsiblity of representing the Scandinavian nation at the 2016 Miss Universe Pageant on January 30,2017 in the Philippines.

Ovmar is not new in the glitz of pageantry. She is the reigning Miss Continents 2016 in a pageant held in Las Vegas. The blonde lass was among the Top 20 and awarded as Best Body during 2014 Miss Supranational pageant held in Poland. Her other titles are Miss Exclusive 2014 and Miss Bride of Sweden 2013.

At the same event, half-Filipina half Swedish Cloie Syquia Skarne was crowned as Miss Earth Sweden 2016. She will represent Sweden in the forthcoming Miss Earth in the Philippines on October 25. While  Clara Långsjö will represent the country in the Miss International Beauty Pageant in Tokyo, Japan.

Beginning in 2012, three winners and two runners-up are selected in Miss Sweden Pageant. The Miss Universe Sweden competes in Miss Universe, The Miss Earth Sweden vies in Miss Earth, and the Miss International Sweden goes to compete in Miss International.
Sweden has 3 Miss Universe queens : 1955, 1966, and 1984.
